So sorry this has taken so long but better late then never!!! Since we have chatted we have made a lot of progress in our gardens. During this time we have written a persuasive letter that we are sending to local nurseries and big box stores asking to donate soil and flowers. This letter was developed by the kids to convince these places why they should donate to our school. That being said, each student now has a place that they are in charge of and will be in contact with them throughout this whole process. I also have 4 students that have written letters to the media asking them to come and see our garden and the portable. I am finding the students totally engaged and really enjoying this whole process. Now we are digging out the garden and taking stumps from the forest behind us and using them to create a barrier.
